Aspire Art presents a specially themed Timed-Online auction, EDITIONS. A fresh range of modern and contemporary art highlighting editioned works, the sale showcases well-loved South African artists, special William Kentridge publications and a delightful collection of plush toys by Japanese contemporary artist Takashi Murakami.
Kholisa Thomas, Client Advisory at Aspire Art picks her favourites from the collection.
Collecting prints, multiples and editioned works by established artists is a great way to acquire works from some of your favourite artists at a lower price point. Collecting a renowned artist’s print can also diversify your art collection and showcase a different process or technique the artist experimented with during their career. It also reflects the varied practice of the artist within their body of work.
Embracing limited editions is a great way to enhance your art collection. Here is a selection of my favourites by some of South Africa’s most well-known and celebrated artists.
