12 - 27 June 2025
Aspire Art is excited to announce the launch of its new dedicated Wine auction category, in proud partnership with Rueda Wine Co.
As global collectors increasingly approach wine as they do fine art—valuing provenance, rarity, terroir, and time—Aspire and RWC now offer a new open-market platform where exceptional bottles will be presented with the same curatorial rigour.
Opening 12 June 2025, the landmark inaugural auction, The Grand Pour: Rare & Premier Wines, will showcase South Africa’s most celebrated “100-pointer” wines and cult labels, alongside top global icons. Expect storied vintages from The Sadie Family Wines, Mullineux, Boekenhoutskloof, Kanonkop, and Porseleinberg, as well as legendary international estates with impeccable storage histories and collector-grade provenance.
Notable vintages include Kanonkop’s Paul Sauer 2015 - the first South African wine to receive a 100-point rating- the near-mythical, perfectly scored Porseleinberg Syrah 2018 from Swartland’s schist-rich soils, crafted by Callie Louw, and multiple verticals from Eben Sadie’s cult Swartland range (Skurfberg, Columella, and Palladius). Hyper-rare bottlings such as Sadie’s Mev. Kirsten Chenin Blanc also feature.
On the international front, global trophy wines include Domaine de la Romanée-Conti La Tâche Grand Cru 2002—arguably Burgundy’s most coveted label—Pétrus 2006, the Merlot-driven Pomerol legend whose name commands reverence, Masseto 2010, Tuscany’s iconic Super-Tuscan with a 100-point pedigree and cult following, and Château Lafite-Rothschild 2008, a Bordeaux First Growth icon long associated with the zenith of wine class and quality.
Lots will be online soon!
